What did they do before they decided to do to run for office? What did they do in the community to show they could actually change, that they care, and then they ran. That's one reason why I'm voting for Nicole McClain.

— Jeff Crosby
Former ED The New Lynn Coalition

I first met Nicole McClain at the community 4th of July Frederick Douglass reading at Frederick Douglass park, where she organized a day-long festival of readings, performances, and vendors. I brought over a Frederick Douglass poster and postcards I'd printed, and took part in the community reading.

Later Nicole invited me to participate as a letterpress printer in the North Shore Juneteenth traveling exhibit Tower of Strength that appeared at Endicott College, Old Town Hall in Salem, North Shore Community College and the Salem Maritime Park Visitor Center. During the months that we worked on that project I was more than impressed with the many things Nicole was organizing for the community: road races, social events, food drives, job fairs, festivals and many other cultural happenings. I frequently got to hear her speak, and found her inspiring and practical.

When Nicole became Lynn City Councilor At-Large after the passing of Buzzy Barton, and having to play catch-up in the campaign for reelection, I immediately offered to help in any way I can. Supporting Nicole is supporting all the vibrant communities that make up the city of Lynn. I encourage you to support the campaign in any way you can, financially, by volunteering and by sharing social posts.
